Ideas for the renovation of the bathroom:

1. Placement of Fixtures.

One mistake many people make when designing a bathroom is the placement of the toilet. Toilets should not be placed where it can be viewed from another room, it should pass through the open door. Another thing to consider, Electronics: TV should not be placed where they come into contact with water.

2. Install a proper ventilation.

This means that buying a fan that is the right CFM (cubic feet per minute) airflow. You need to get a professional to determine the right size fan for your bathroom. Without adequate ventilation in the room moisture can accumulate and cause mold and mildew damage to walls.

3. Don’t forget the storage.

Where do you plan on keeping your linens and towels? And your cosmetics and body lotions? There are so many contemporary bathroom, have a bad storage. Consider the items you want to store in the bathroom and how you want to save (linen closet, cabinetry…) before the start of redevelopment.

4. Consider the plumbing.

A major mistake many people make when renovating the bathroom is forgetting the plumbing. If there happens to be a problem with plumbing in the future, the plumber will need to access it somehow. Design the wall covering and flooring materials in such a way that they will not be destroyed when this occurs.

5. Plan for the long term.

How long do you plan on using this bathroom? Will you be here for a few years or forever? Either way, the best choice is to plan for aging-in-place. This means installing grab bars and cabinetry that is easy for an elderly or disabled person to access, and anything else that will make navigating the space easier. Also, do you have children or are you planning on having them in the future? If so, design the bathroom so that it is safe for them, as well.

Renovating your bathroom is not as easy as it seems. There are several things to note, from storage to ventilation. I hope this list will help you to make your experience a little less complicated.
